Object Detail

Description
Designed to stitch to the body as a brooch to fit with the curve of the body. This series plays with ideas of jewellery on and off the body. Images are taken from drawings of bodies, sending them on a journey and then landing the final pieces of the body again.

The silver plate has an image pierced/cut out to mimic a line drawing, while cut out surfaces create negative space. The brooch can also be used as plate to make a print on paper, where the cut lines would create the image. This appears to have already happened with the curved surface a result from being feed through a roller and the textured surface on one side imprinted from paper.

It can be displayed slightly elevated from the wall so that the lines create shadows of the image.
