Object Detail

Description
“The silhouettes ... explore the love affair between popular culture and Pacific Island man/woman and this image of Polynesia/Polynesians as perpetuated and choreographed by tourist strategies of the colonial past i.e. stereotyping, eroticising, objectification of Polynesian women/men (still prevalent today) . . . My aim is to be the one to take control of my own image making”
