Object Detail

Description
"...Scrubber is inspired by the Pacific Lai form. Scrubber takes the ubiquitous brand name "goldilocks" pot scrubber and trasforms it into a garland of silver (and ultimately gold). The original object, the golidlocks, remains recognisable although reconstructed from a new material. The ordinary is transformed into a dazzling celebration of the ordinary" Douglas Lloyd Jenkins in catalogue for the exhibition "Strain, Grate, Whisk, Scrub: jewelry by Pauline Bern" 2000 .
