A large neckpiece with 9 paua frangipani elements attached to a vau cord. Each frangipani piece has 2 overlapping paua petals riveted together. Developing on from his breastplate works, Preston explores a common pacific frangipani (pua fiti) motif often used in tapa designs but made 3 dimensional in paua.
