Description
Featured in Open Heart 1994, The Second Jewellery Biennale, and also Made in Aotearoa 2007 – Alan Preston survey exhibition at The Dowse. A piece similar to a black lipped oyster shell chain, that featured in Chains Change 1991 exhibition, at Fingers. Preston takes a common traditional jewellery form and remakes a spectacular oversized paua chain. Alan Preston is one of the founding members of Fingers jewellery gallery and cooperative beginning in Auckland in 1974.
